Shares of Power Grid Corporation of India slipped over 2 per cent on the Bombay Stock Exchange after the state-run company reported lower-than-expected 5.7 per cent growth in net profit at Rs 2040.83 crore in Q3 December 2017 over Q3 December 2016.
Weighed down by Q3, stocks of the company declined as much 2.53 per cent to touch an intra-day low of Rs 190.00 apiece on the Bombay Stock Exchange.
In a similar fashion, shares of the firm were trading 0.95 per cent lower at Rs 193.00 apiece on the National Stock Exchange.
Meanwhile, the broader benchmark BSE Sensex was trading at 35,153.20, down 753.46 points, or 2.10 per cent, at 14:48 hours.
