Shares of Alembic Pharmaceuticals jumped over 8 per cent on the Bombay Stock Exchange after drug maker said it has received US drug regulator’s approval Doxycycline Hyclate capsules USP, 50 mg and 100 mg.
Following the announcement, stocks of the company gained as much as 8.08 per cent and touched an intra-day high of Rs 529.90 apiece on the Bombay Stock Exchange.
In a similar trend, shares of the firm were trading 3.91 per cent higher at Rs 511.10 apiece on the National Stock Exchange.
Meanwhile, the broader benchmark BSE Sensex was trading at 35,505.02, down 234.14 points, or 0.66 per cent at 12:05 hours.
