Shares of Tata Steel rose over 2 per cent, hitting 52-week high, on the Bombay Stock Exchange after the market experts opined that metal companies will report strong earnings growth in July-September quarter amid strong commodity prices and volume growth.
Riding high on hopes of strong Q2, shares of the company gained as much as 2.35 per cent to trade at 52-week high of Rs 707.15 apiece on the Bombay Stock Exchange.
In a similar fashion, shares of the company were trading 1.72 per cent higher at Rs 703.50 apiece on the National Stock Exchange.
Meanwhile, the broader benchmark BSE Sensex was trading at 32,416.61, up 234.39 points, or 0.73 per cent, at 11:55 hours.
