Indian benchmark indices continued to hover in red during the morning deals tracking meltdown in global shares due to surge in bond yields overseas. Asian shares tumbled on Thursday after an overnight surge in bond yields dragged Wall Street lower.
Meanwhile, Foreign investors had bought equities worth Rs 2,088.70 crore on a net basis in Indian capital markets on Wednesday, according to exchange data.
At 10:20 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 50755.33 down by -689.32 points or by -1.34 % and then NSE Nifty was at 15065.65 down by -179.95 points or by -1.18 %.
Sensex touched intraday high of 50957.29 and intraday low of 50539.92 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 15101.05 and intraday low of 14980.2

The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Housing Development Finance Corporation Ltd. (Rs. 2577.70,-2.83%), HDFC Bank Ltd. (Rs. 1544.65,-2.63%), Axis Bank Ltd. (Rs. 734.70,-2.51%), Bajaj Finserv Ltd. (Rs. 10155.75,-2.22%), Larsen & Toubro Ltd. (Rs. 1465.00,-2.12%), among others.
