Depository Participant (DP) Services

The Company is a registered Depository Participant (DP) of National Securities Depository Limited (NSDL). The Company offers DP services to varied clients spread across the Country viz., clearing members, traders and investors. Currently, the active client base is around 57000 and the same is increasing day-by-day.  The Company was awarded “Star Performer Award” for having attained 1st Position in the category of “Top Performer in Active Accounts – Big DPs” in the Southern India by NSDL for the last two consecutive years i.e. 2014 and 2015.

Registrar & Share Transfer Agent

The Securities and Exchange Board of India has granted the Certificate of Permanent Registration to the Company to take up activities as Category I - Registrar to an Issue and Share Transfer Agent.

Under Section 54 EC of Income Tax, 1961 an investor need not pay any tax on any long-term capital gains arising on sale of any asset, if the amounts of capital gains are invested in certain specified bonds. Rural Electrification Corporation Limited (REC) & National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) are permitted to issue capital gains bonds under Section 54 EC.

Some key features of Section 54 EC bonds are:

  •  Minimum investment-1 Bond amounting to ` 10,000/- and maximum investment-500 Bonds amounting to ` 50 lakhs in a financial year
  • Rate of Interest 5.25% p.a. payable annually
  •  Bonds can be held in Demat /Physical Form
  • Facility of Payment of Interest and Redemption through NECS
  • The Bonds will automatically redeem after expiry of three years
