The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has unveiled its ‘Aadhaar Vision 2032’ framework, a strategic roadmap aimed at strengthening India’s digital identity infrastructure through advanced technologies like Artificial Intelligence (AI), Blockchain, Quantum Computing, and next-generation encryption.
As part of this initiative, UIDAI has constituted a high-level Expert Committee chaired by Neelkanth Mishra, Chairperson, UIDAI, to guide the next phase of Aadhaar’s technological evolution. The panel includes prominent experts from academia, industry, and administration, including UIDAI CEO Bhuvnesh Kumar, Sarvam AI Co-Founder Vivek Raghavan, and Nutanix Founder Dheeraj Pandey, among others.
The committee will develop the Aadhaar Vision 2032 document, aligning it with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act and global privacy and cybersecurity standards.
The framework aims to make Aadhaar’s technology stack more resilient, scalable, and adaptive, ensuring it remains a secure, inclusive, and future-ready pillar of India’s digital governance. With this move, UIDAI reaffirms its commitment to technological innovation, data security, and public trust in the evolving digital era.
