BCPL Railway Infrastructure Limited announced that it has secured a new contract worth Rs 60.06 million from the Electrical Department of the Howrah Division under Eastern Railway. The order involves the provision of circuit breakers across various yards and sidings to enhance sectioning arrangements and reduce tripping incidents on the main line. The project is expected to be completed within 12 months.
The company received a letter of acceptance for the work titled “Provision of Circuit Breaker in lieu of Breaker on Main (BM) at various Yard and Sidings to improve sectioning arrangement by reducing tripping on main line in Howrah Division of Eastern Railway.” The initiative aims to prevent disruptions in traffic caused by failures in yard lines.
Chairman Aparesh Nandi expressed satisfaction over the new order, noting that the project will contribute to improved operational efficiency in the Howrah Division. He added that BCPL remains optimistic about a strong order pipeline in the coming months, supported by ongoing and upcoming railway projects across India.
Nandi further highlighted the company’s continued contribution to connecting various regions of the country, especially the Northeast and rural areas, through EPC works, modification projects, laying of new railway lines, and upgrading existing tracks. He stated that the company expects a steady flow of similar railway projects nationwide in the near future.
