Unison Metals Ltd a key player in the specialty chemicals and metals sector, has announced a major strategic expansion with the launch of its new Specialty Chemicals Division for Sodium Silicate manufacturing at Dhamatvan, Ta-Daskroi, Ahmedabad. This marks a significant milestone in the company’s growth journey, strengthening its long-term focus on innovation, vertical integration, and value creation.
The project entails an investment of Rs 30 crore, covering land, machinery, construction, and supporting infrastructure. Commercial production is slated to begin by February 2026, and the company expects specialty chemicals revenue to rise by 250% from current levels.
The plant, built with an installed capacity of 38,000 MT, will produce sodium silicate—an essential raw material used across industries including detergents, paper, pharmaceuticals, rubber, food processing, dyes, garments, chemicals, and foundry castings. The fully automated and environmentally compliant unit is designed to enhance scalability, efficiency, and competitiveness.
With this commissioning, Unison Metals will expand its specialty chemicals capacity by 150% year-on-year, which is anticipated to positively impact turnover and drive substantial growth in profitability (PAT). The expansion strengthens the company’s backward integration efforts, operational efficiency, and market presence—both domestically and globally.
The management stated that alongside expansions in specialty chemicals and high-nickel alloy stainless steel grades, the company is entering a phase of accelerated growth. These developments aim to broaden revenue streams, boost manufacturing capabilities, and deepen participation in high-potential industrial segments.
The company believes this move will unlock opportunities in partnerships, technology advancements, and customer engagement, further solidifying its position in the specialty chemicals landscape and enabling sustainable, diversified growth across critical applications where sodium silicate is vital.
