Action Construction Equipment Ltd (ACE), the world’s largest Pick-n-Carry crane maker and a leading Indian construction equipment manufacturer, has signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Sanghvi Movers Ltd, Asia’s largest and the world’s fifth-largest crane rental company.
The partnership aims to expand the use of indigenously manufactured heavy slew cranes—including truck cranes and crawler cranes—across major infrastructure and industrial projects in India. The move strongly supports the Government of India’s Aatmanirbhar Bharat and Make in India initiatives by promoting adoption of locally built heavy-lifting equipment and reducing reliance on imports.
Under the agreement, Sanghvi Movers will gradually enhance its fleet with heavy cranes produced by ACE, enabling faster, cost-efficient, and more reliable project execution nationwide. In turn, ACE will focus on strengthened product support, customization, and technical solutions aligned with India’s rapidly expanding infrastructure needs.
The collaboration is expected to drive significant import substitution, develop local supply chains, and contribute to employment creation, skill development, and technological advancement.
Commenting on the MOU,
Sorab Agarwal, Executive Director at ACE, said the partnership will help build true industrial self-reliance by offering world-class indigenous crane solutions.
Rishi C. Sanghvi, Managing Director of Sanghvi Movers, highlighted that expanding their fleet with domestically manufactured cranes will reduce import dependency while improving serviceability, turnaround time, and overall value creation for India's economy.
