After three straight sessions of losses, Indian stock markets closed higher on Monday, supported by positive global cues. The recovery was driven mainly by information technology and pharmaceutical stocks, which led the gains across sectors.
The 30-share benchmark index ended at 83535.35 up by 319.07 points or by 0.38 % and then NSE Nifty was at 25574.35 up by 82.05 points or by 0.32 %.
Sensex touched intraday high of 83754.49 and intraday low of 83197.67 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 25653.45 and intraday low of 25503.5
