Benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty tumbled over 3% on Thursday, as a sharp surge in crude oil prices and weak global market trends rattled investor sentiment.
The decline comes amid escalating strikes on key energy infrastructure in West Asia, which have heightened concerns over supply disruptions and added to market uncertainty.
The 30-share benchmark index ended at 74207.24 down by -2496.89 points or by -3.26 % and then NSE Nifty was at 23002.15 down by -775.65 points or by -3.26 %.
Sensex touched intraday high of 75354.18 and intraday low of 73950.95 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 23378.7 and intraday low of 22930.35
