The Nifty50 reclaimed the 24,000 mark, while the Sensex touched its intraday high on Wednesday, supported by a sharp decline in crude oil prices following the US-Iran ceasefire.
Investor sentiment remained buoyant amid easing geopolitical tensions, with falling oil prices boosting risk appetite across markets. At the same time, traders closely evaluated the outcome of the Reserve Bank of India monetary policy meeting for further cues on interest rates and economic outlook.
At 12:50 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 77477.72 up by 2861.14 points or by 3.83 % and then NSE Nifty was at 23946.35 up by 822.7 points or by 3.56 %.
