India's industrial production growth slipped to a 10-month low of 1.5% in June 2025, weighed down by weak performance in the mining and power sectors, which were affected by the early onset of the monsoon and heavy rainfall, according to official data released on Monday.
Factory output, as measured by the Index of Industrial Production (IIP), had grown by 4.9% in the same month last year.
The National Statistics Office (NSO) also revised the industrial growth figure for May 2025 upward to 1.9%, compared to the earlier estimate of 1.2% released last month.
