Growth in India’s services sector eased in September, as new business and activity expanded at slower rates, according to a monthly survey released on Monday.
The seasonally adjusted HSBC India Services PMI Business Activity Index declined to 60.9 in September from 62.9 in August, a 15-year high, reflecting competitive pressures and cost-control measures.
Despite the moderation, the index remained well above the neutral 50 mark, signaling a substantial upturn in output.
