HCLTech has completed the acquisition of HPE’s Telco Solutions business, strengthening its position in AI-led telecom engineering and expanding its capabilities for communications service providers (CSPs) worldwide.
The acquisition, first announced in December 2025, follows the successful integration of HPE’s Communications Technology Group (CTG) business in 2024. It enhances HCLTech’s ability to support telecom operators in network modernization, AI-driven autonomous operations, 5G deployment, network virtualization, multi-cloud, edge computing, private 5G, and Network-as-a-Service (NaaS).
As part of the transaction, HCLTech has expanded its telecom portfolio with advanced intellectual property, solutions, and integration services across OSS, HSS, 5G Subscriber Data Management (SDM), Business Support Systems (BSS), AI-enabled applications, digital twin technologies, and eSIM capabilities. The deal also adds nearly 1,400 engineering and telecom professionals across 39 countries, strengthening the company's global delivery network.
Commenting on the acquisition, Anil Ganjoo, Chief Growth Officer and Global Head of Telecom, Media and Technology at HCLTech, said the integration of HPE’s Telco Solutions business strengthens the company's engineering expertise and platform capabilities, enabling it to help telecom operators accelerate AI-led network transformation and unlock new growth opportunities.
Rami Rahim, Executive Vice President, President and General Manager, Networking at HPE, said HCLTech is well-positioned to build on the Telco Solutions business and continue driving innovation for global communications service providers as they modernize their networks.
