Union Minister of Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal held a series of high-level bilateral and business engagements in Singapore on Thursday, aimed at strengthening cooperation between the two countries across trade, investment, technology and business.
Goyal met Singapore Prime Minister Lawrence Wong at the Istana and participated in the fourth India-Singapore Ministerial Roundtable and India-Singapore Business Roundtable. The discussions focused on deepening bilateral economic ties and identifying new opportunities for mutually beneficial cooperation, followed by an MoU signing ceremony.
He also held Government-to-Business meetings with senior representatives from the Global Finance & Technology Network (GFTN) and Keppel Infrastructure, covering areas such as agri-exports, GCC-based commercial parks, fintech and sustainable infrastructure.
Goyal further visited an APEDA-FairPrice initiative at City Square Mall and participated in the India-Singapore Business Forum organised by FICCI, where discussions centred on India’s growth prospects and opportunities for businesses in Asia and globally.
The engagements highlighted the strong momentum in India-Singapore economic relations and India’s efforts to expand trade, investment, technology and business linkages between the two countries.
