Tata Power has commissioned the second phase of its Jalpura-Khurja Transmission Project in Uttar Pradesh, strengthening power transmission infrastructure across the NCR and Western Uttar Pradesh.
The newly commissioned element includes a 400kV double-circuit transmission line spanning 162 circuit kilometres (CKM) between Khurja and Jalpura, along with a 400/220kV GIS substation at Jalpura with 1,000 MVA transformation capacity.
The transmission corridor will facilitate efficient power transfer from Khurja towards NCR and Noida, while the new substation will act as a key link between the 400kV high-voltage grid and the 220kV network. The project is expected to improve grid reliability, resilience and capacity to meet the region’s growing electricity demand.
Following the commissioning, Tata Power’s transmission portfolio has reached 7,900 circuit kilometres of lines operational and under execution across India, further strengthening its position in large-scale power transmission infrastructure.
