Indian stock markets opened on a weak note today, weighed down by U.S. President Donald Trump's announcement of new tariff rates on multiple countries.
On a positive note, Kotak Bank led the gains with a 4% surge, followed by strong performances from Eternal, Bharat Electronics, Tata Motors, Adani Ports, NTPC, Ultratech Cement, and Asian Paints.
At 9:32 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 83529.95 up by 87.45 points or by 0.1 % and then NSE Nifty was at 25457.15 down by -4.15 points or by -0.02 %.
Sensex touched intraday high of 83557.15 and intraday low of 83320.95 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 25464.4 and intraday low of 25424.15
