Benchmark equity indices opened higher on Tuesday, supported by optimism ahead of the two-day GST Council meeting beginning Wednesday. The 56th Council meeting, scheduled for September 3–4, is expected to deliberate on key proposals for GST reforms.
At 9:30 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 80517.68 up by 153.19 points or by 0.19 % and then NSE Nifty was at 24662.9 up by 37.85 points or by 0.15 %
