Indian benchmark indices are poised for a strong start on July 10, tracking positive global cues. GIFT Nifty was trading higher at around 24,099.50 in early trade, indicating a firm opening for the domestic market.
The positive outlook follows a robust rebound in the previous session, where benchmark indices recovered sharply from the prior day's steep correction. Broad-based buying across most sectors lifted the market, although the auto and information technology sectors continued to underperform, limiting the overall gains.
On Thursday, the 30-share benchmark index ended at 76741.82 up by 238.22 points or by 0.31 % and then NSE Nifty was at 23962.8 up by 80.75 points or by 0.34 %.
On the global front, Most Asian markets advanced on Friday morning as global equities advanced on support from a rally in chip and artificial intelligence shares. Japan’s Nikkei 225 and South Korea’s Kospi were trading 2.27 per cent and 4.2 per cent higher, respectively.
Overnight, the Dow Jones Industrial Average and the S&P 500 ended 0.27 per cent and 0.81 per cent higher, respectively. The Nasdaq Composite settled 1.3 per cent higher.
