Indian benchmark indices extended their gains on Thursday afternoon, with the Sensex surging over 600 points and the Nifty trading firmly above the 24,200 mark, supported by broad-based buying across sectors.
At 14:40 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 77584.28 up by 674.6 points or by 0.88 % and then NSE Nifty was at 24245.8 up by 167.5 points or by 0.7 %.
